What Is Off-Page SEO?

Off-page SEO, in a BOFU shop, is work on lists, mentions, profiles, and earned comments off your domain. It is not a link pack, a ranking guarantee, or farm coverage.

Off-page, shaped for BOFU

Classic off-page SEO is often a link report. BOFU off-page is work on the places buyers already decide that do not live on your domain: lists, mentions, profiles, earned comments.

The point is presence in a decision, not a Domain Rating screenshot. A relevant listicle slot, a corrected brand profile, or an earned mention in a roundup a buyer already reads will beat a pack of links from sites nobody opens.

What the work includes

  • Lists and roundups — map them, pitch where you belong, keep checking when they refresh.
  • Mentions — earned name-drops in articles, newsletters, and answers. Paid syndication, if it happens, is named as paid.
  • Profiles — the public facts a searcher or an engine can check. See entity SEO.
  • Earned comments — a useful reply on a thread or a source request where the product actually fits. Not drive-by link drops.

A list that names you still needs a page to land on. That page is on-site work. Off-page covers the decisions that never happen on your domain.

Refuse list

This is not a link-building package. The public offer refuses:

  • Ranking guarantees
  • Link packs sold by volume
  • Farm coverage and fake bylines
  • Knowledge Panel or citation guarantees
  • Vendor names on the proposal. Fulfillment suppliers stay off the public offer.

If a mention is paid, it is labeled paid. If a list will not take the product because it does not fit, that is a closed gap, not a failure to “get links.”
